Jacket by ROBERTO CAVALLI
Beyond gorgeous leather jacket from Roberto Cavalli! Beautifully cut, fitted style with ruched/hook front bodice and a antiqued gold stud trim. The trim is something you can easily recreate yourself if you have jacket that needs a little revamping. Perfect light weight jacket for riding passenger on the back of a motorcycle.
There are two times in my life when I was bike bound. My first experience was with my dad on one of our family vacations. We would take family vacations every year to different national parks. During this time, my step mom would drive all of us girls in the car and my dad would ride separate on his motorcycle in front of us. Now that I am older and understand how annoying it is to be trapped in the car with screaming kids for 7 hours, I think it's pretty funny that he got away with that.
Either way, on these trips he would take one kid at a time with him on his bike. We quickly learned how relaxing and dangerous a bike can be for a kid. After an hour or so of driving behind my sister and dad on the bike, we watched as my little sister started leaning to the left. At first we thought she was looking around him to take in the view. As she got more and more side ways, we realized that she had fallen asleep! My dad had no clue as he was cruising along the highway. Being that this was my half sister, my stepmom sitting next to me being the mom, she got frantic and starts blaring the horn, which we all know my deaf dad could not hear. It was like watching an ice cream cone melt, that needs to quickly be slurped up before it hits the floor!
My little sister's tipping, our horns are blaring, my stepmom's loosing her barring, I'm sitting staring and partridge in a pear tree.
We somehow got his attention and signaled him to pull over. She pulled Merissa off the back of the bike and through me on. Hmmmm, was she hoping to trim herd? One less smart ass kid the better? That is what I thought until I saw her pull out the bungy cord. Yep, I quickly got a bungy cord wrapped around me securing me to the back of the bike. I felt like a sausage on stick getting ready to be thrown on the bbq. Funny how quick a family road trip can feel like a child abduction hostage situation. Luckily they fed me and were nice, kidding. We really were a version of the Lampoon's! Same as the movie, we all got there in one piece and had a great time.
I will save me second bike experience for another post. Let's just say near death seems to follow me anytime a bike is involved.
